The boys and girls from 5th and 6th Class took part in the annual Marian Keane Basketball tournament in February and March. The first round blitz for both boys and girls was held in Gurteen Hall on the 7th March. The opponents on the day for the girls were Tuamgraney N.S, Raheen Woods Steiner N.S and Killaloe Convent N.S. The girls won two out of their three matches in what was a very competitive competition. They narrowly missed out on qualifying for round 2 of the tournament.
Our boys played Tuamgraney N.S and Raheen Woods Steiner N.S in round one and were victorious in both their matches. They progressed to round two which was played in Gurteen hall on the 14th March. Their opponents were Tulla N.S and Kilkishen N.S. They fought valiantly but unfortunately did not progress to the semi finals. Congratulations for getting to this stage.
