Active Week 2024 was held from Monday the 10th to Friday the 14th of June.

On Monday the 10th of June, we took part in a  whole school walk from the GAA carpark to Bill’s Cross and back. Junior classes had a buddy from the older classes to accompany them and the Wellbeing Committee led us on the day.

On Tuesday the 11th, Wesley O’Brien from Killaloe/Ballina Tennis Club did a taster tennis session with all classes from Infants to Sixth. This was part funded by Tennis Ireland.

On Wednesday the 13th, the Active School Committee and 5th and 6th Class pupils led  P.E sessions with the younger classes.

On Thursday the 13th of June, we travelled to Cusask Park to support our girl’s Camogie team who reached the Division 3, Cumann na mBunscol, Camogie final. We lost out to Clonmoney N.S on the day but it was an amazing achievement to get there.

On Friday the 14th of June, we hoped to have our annual Athletics Sports Day but the weather was not kind to us. Children wore their club jersey Colours on the day.
