Thanks to Ms.McKee and the garden Club for all their help over the last month. We have been busy planting various seeds and watching them germinate in our classrooms. It has been lovely to see the enjoyment the children got from watching their seeds grow.

Juniors and Seniors planted tomato seeds, 1st & 2nd class planted courgette and spring onion seeds,  3rd & 4th class planted cucumber and beetroot, 5th class planted Squash and 6th class planted eggplant, red cabbage, chillies and sweetcorn.

The Beetroot has since been transplanted into the polytunnel and some of the sweetcorn plants also.

Lettuce, radish and carrots have been sown directly in the polytunnel and the Lettuce and radish seeds  have germinated after only 2-3 days.

1st & 2nd class have transplanted courgette plants  into bigger pots as they were growing so well.

The Garden Club have sown sunflower seeds in the polytunnel and seed potatoes into one of the outdoor beds. They have also sown wildflower seeds into the outdoor polytunnel bed, to help attract more bees and butterflies.

We look forward to watching all our seeds grow over the next few months.
