Yesterday was ‘World Earth Day’ so our school decided to do a nature walk around our local area and enjoy the wonderful sights and sounds of Ogonnelloe. We also decided to link our walk with the community tidy up which is being held this Saturday the 24th of April. So with that in mind we set off on our walk gathering litter and waste along the way.
The sun was shining and the birds were singing and the students of Ogonnelloe National School were in high spirits enjoying nature whilst doing their bit to help our community stay clean and green. By the end of the walk, we had collected a whopping 10kg of litter. We couldn’t believe it. We felt proud of of efforts and accomplished what we had set out to do… helping our local community.
We loved our walk and it is something that we would encourage everyone to do. Remember… Clean and Green is our ultimate dream.
